Adrian Joseph (A.J.) Rivera is a second semester MAEE graduate student. He is also currently working as a graduate teaching assistant. He graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University, Fort Wayne, in December 2013 with a B.A. in English Writing and minors in Linguistics and Women’s Studies. He plans to graduate from UPRM in May 2015, moving onto a PhD program shortly thereafter to continue his studies. His current research focuses on the use of translanguaging and translingual practices in college university classrooms, where it has received little to no research thus far. In his spare time, A.J. enjoys cold climates, hoodies, relaxing at home, and the occasional video game.
